Its been a while....

Its been almost 2 months since I have updated the blog and a lot has happened since then.

Lets start with the wedding....
We have had a slight change in wedding plans and are downsizing even more than we originally planned. I wasnt big into the "wedding planning" and realized that I am just happy to be marrying him and I do not need all the jazz. It is still extremely important for us to be married in the church, so we are stil having the ceremony at The Citadel. After the cermony we are going to be joined with our closest friends and family at a resturant in Charleston. We couldnt be more excited!

New home...
We are offically joined homeowners! We bought a new house in April and are thrilled. We couldnt resist with the market so good. Its the perfect home in the perfect neighborhood. It has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a Carolina Room. We still have a lot of decorating and painting to do, but it will come together soon. Ill post pictures!

Fires....
We made National News! Two weeks after moving in there was a horrible fire that started down the road and spread over 20,000 acres. Luckily, I have a great friend down the road who was able to go check on the house. She told me that I needed to come home because it was pretty bad. About 40 minutes after I arrived home, I was evacuated. I grabbed my dog, my grandmothers jewelry, a ring my dad had given me, a change of clothes, and my winter coats. Yes, my winter coats. To this day, I have no idea why I thought those were important. Its a good laugh! HA! I was able to get back in the house later than evening, and was relieved. There was a lot of smoke for weeks after, but Im not complaing, it could have been much worse.

I know that I am missing bits and pieces of the past two months. Ill post pictures soon and try to be a little better of updating!

Once again, I sit here on a Sunday night, wondering where the weekend went. Murf and I both had a pretty good week. Although, both of us did end up sick. We both started a new class in our Masters program. I have one more after this class and I will be finished! WHOO HOO!!! He has a little longer, but he will get through it.

We went out on Friday night, well he had a "guys" night and I had a "girls" night. He started out at happy hour and then hung out the with guys. I met a few girls at Gordon Beirsch around 7 for dinner and then headed to the Dueling Piano bar. Needless to say, we both had great nights.

Saturday, I spent my day either in the bed or on the couch. Not because I had to much to drink, but because Murf passed his sickness on to me. My throat was a mess, I was coughing, had a runny nose, and no voice. Murf had bronchitis and has yet to recover. He hasnt had much sleep and is a little irritated. Hopefully he will get better soon.

and the weekend ends again....

The weekends go by way to fast! We couldnt of asked for better weather this weekend (#1 reason why I love the south). On Saturday, Murf and I went to lunch, walked around Broadway at the Beach (a total tourist thing), and then had a movie night. As for today, we went to church, ate lunch, and then went to the outlets. What a relaxing weekend. Only four more weeks until spring break! Whoohoo!!

We have checked some things off the wedding checklist. We have upcoming appointments with the florist, photographer, and will hopefully hear something from the caterer soon. I decided on the fabric and color for the bridesmaid dresses and now am waiting to see which dress each girl picks. We have someone to officiate the wedding and eventually will begin premarital counseling. Things are starting to come together.

And so it begins....
